If the world was the same, it would be a very dull and boring place. There would be nothing to compare, for example colors. There are so many colors, it hurts the mind to think of how many. If there was however only one color, it would be rather boring and pointless to try to compare which shade of purple looks better for example, in a bedroom verses which shade of purple to dress up as.
Comparing and Contrasting form a balance in life and in writing by allowing the view to see, notice and relate the differences between the two. It also allows an indivdiual a choice between the two as well as an understanding of the world around them. Compare and Contrast gives us an indepth look at our life around us by offering differences that we can relate to and similarties we can merge with.
I agree, life would be awful if everything was the same! Thanks for your insight!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how you were using colors to describe compare and contrast. I understand that your trying to compare purple shades, but you were originally speaking about several colors. I don't quite understand your example. By reading this I have no idea how to use compare and contrast. In fact I can't find contrast being described.
